Translations and adaptations

Lazy Dragon includes translations, summaries, presentation adaptations and unit conversions of SRD 5.1 material. These changes belong to the project and are not official Wizards text.

Scope of rights

The stated CC BY 4.0 licence applies only to material derived from SRD 5.1. Characters, notes, images, personal creations and third-party content retain their respective rights and terms; this attribution does not grant rights to them.

Calculations and random generation

Encounter estimates and treasure generation use numerical procedures adapted from the 2014 method. Magic items are drawn from the project-maintained weighted pools A–I. These methods and groupings remain separate from individual SRD 5.1 catalog items: the items’ CC BY 4.0 licence does not automatically extend to the entire generator or its tables.

Lazy Dragon is an independent project, not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast.

Third-party components and resources

Game-icons.net icons by Lorc, Delapouite and sbed, licensed under CC BY 3.0. Backgrounds have been removed and colours adapted in the SVGs used by the app.

The print fonts Cormorant Garamond, Lazy Dragon Text (derived from Source Serif 4) and Lazy Dragon Print Symbols (derived from Noto Sans Symbols 2) are distributed with their respective SIL Open Font Licences.

Full licence and copyright notices

The notices include the versions of distributed components and their respective terms. Permissions for personal content or user uploads remain separate.

Original materials and personal creations

The project’s original illustrations and contributions remain distinct from SRD material. SRD attribution does not change rights to users’ characters, notes, images or personal creations, and does not grant rights to other authors’ content.
